Technology and Media Addiction
We live in a connected, technological, media owned age. Are we taking it too far? Have you noticed the behaviour of everyone around you - always on their smart devices! In person activities are dominated by people on their phones now. We are becoming less and less present and more and more alienated from each other. Social media, mainstream media and email are ruling our lives.
It is an addiction, and like all addicts, we first have to admit there is a problem. Can you be without your smart device for 24 hours? Do you own your device, or does your device own you? Being connected does have it's benefits of course; but we have gotten terribly out of balance. And the entire system is now geared against us and we are addicted. The life is being sucked out of us and ruining our lives. What's left is being actively manipulated to hook us for life.
